Three Views of the Same Object

We all have particular ways of considering an object, each of us with a unique view. But certain objects have striking similarities. They tell the story of the good life…the inevitability of death…questions of the after life. We see these same three views in a different object each week.

Baptism

Next Baptism: TBA

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. View full article »

2012 Budget

A budget is an estimate of income and expense over time. Our vision to GO KNO SHO GRO drives our budget. The guidebook we use is the Bible, not worldly wisdom. Scripture has much to say about material wealth: money is amoral…the blessings of God add no sorrow…the borrower is slave to the lender…all our needs are met in His riches. As a collective group of believers we handle our finances (church budget) the way we ask a single believer to (personal budget). Money can only be used to give, save, or spend. A budget should reflect these three priorities and the church should see them lived out. View full article »
